Chapter 17. Using AI in Modeling

Today's generative AI tools can help in the modeling process at various steps. In particular, they could be used in

• the conceptualization phase for creating an initial version of a model,
• geometry modeling for creating geometry model code from CAD files and images,
• the coding phase for writing code snippets for specific computational tasks,
• model debugging by explaining errors and suggest fixes,
• model improvements by making suggestions,
• explaining model code.
